Fire Truck Cake

A vanilla cake with chocolate icing fire truck cake for a little boys 3rd birthday equipped with flashing white lights and sound!  It was a fun cake to make!  I will attach a video of it in my next post :)

Spiderman Cookies

I made Spiderman cookies as party favours for a little boys birthday party on the weekend!

Patch Work Pumpkin

I made a mosaic style cake for my PME course in order to try out new styles in cake decorating. The top pumpkin design tiles are 'grouted' and the cake board is without.  It was a neat experience.

Tea cup Cake

I had a wonderful opportunity to do a Tea cup Cake with a hand painted vintage looking fondant tea cup and sugar peonies for an engagement party!  It was an absolute pleasure to do and the venue was gorgeous!  Congratulations Dorothy!

While The Cat's Away...

The mice play!  This fall cake was created for my PME class I am currently taking. We had to capture the essence of a Debbie Brown cake. I chose a fall theme since it is my favourite time of the year :)

Tangled Tower

I had a lot of fun creating the tower for an adorable little girl from one of my favourite
Disney movies; Tangled!  It is a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.

Scooby Doo where are you??

I loved hearing that line on t.v. as much as I still do to this day!  I was approached to make a Scooby Doo cake for a little girl and I was thrilled since I love Scooby as well ;)  It was crunch time for me because I wanted to surprise my customer with a 3-D Scooby.  Much to my relief, I was able to complete it and added enough gumpaste to it that it dried in time to be placed on the cake - phew!  It made me happy that I was able to accomplish this for my customer :)

For the love of Horses

It has been a busy labour day weekend baking and creating!  I was approached to make a vanilla  with chocolate icing cake decorated with a 3-D horse for a girl who loves horses.  I had a great time creating the horse and it turned out to be as adorable as I hoped it would be :)

A Book Cake

I was approached to make a book cake to resemble a bible for a 60th birthday and I was delighted!!  I have never done an open book cake and was excited to try.  I added extra fondant pages to both sides to make it look worn and loved and gold edging to certain points of the top pages :)
The cake was a vanilla cake with cream cheese icing!

Jake and the Neverland Pirates Cake

For my sweet little boys 4th birthday I made him a vanilla cake with chocolate icing decorated with fondant Jake and the Neverland Pirates characters - his favourite next to Thomas!
